Cary Tennis, on pornography.
Sometimes I love Cary Tennis, and sometimes I'm left disappointed, but this is about the closest I've seen him come to incoherence in confronting a problem. In many of his articles he shares the wisdom he's gained from having been an alcoholic, but this is the strongest I've ever felt his experience with addiction in his writing. This piece feels a little like Burroughs, in Junk or even Naked Lunch.
I have lots more to say, but I think I might collapse into a less elegant incoherence.
